Women's First Team

We're excited to announce the Brooklyn City F.C. women's first team will join the NY Metropolitan Women's Soccer League (NYMWSL) in Fall 2023, adding league competition from September through May.

This additional platform completes a year-round calendar for our women's team, and compliments our league play in the WPSL semi-pro level platform which competes in June and July.

The Brooklyn City F.C. women's first team represents Brooklyn and NYC women's soccer on a national level, while also providing a pinnacle to the Brooklyn City F.C. female player development path.  The team reflects our comprehensive commitment to girls' and women's soccer.

NYMWSL (Sept to May)

Our women's team has recently been accepted to join the NYMWSL, and will begin league competition in September 2023, with trials and ID sessions in late July / early August.   The club enjoys a strong foundation and player pool via multiple seasons in semi-pro summer leagues (WPSL and UWS), as well as prior seasons in local 9v9 leagues.

We're proud to now be able to offer the opportunity for our local post-college / non-college players to be able to play and represent the club on a year-round basis.

The NYMWSL features a NYC-based club community, with multiple divisions, based on competitive level.   League matches are held on weekends (generally Sundays), and the BCFC team will also train on weekday evenings.

WPSL (June / July)

The Brooklyn City F.C. women's team competes in the Metropolitan division of the Women's Premier Soccer League, a national pro-am league for competitive female players, including college players, aspiring and former professionals, and international stars.  The WPSL season runs from late May through July, culminating in a regional and national playoff tournament.

The team's coaching staff is led by Head Coach Kim Wyant, also current head coach of the NYU men's soccer team.  Wyant has vast coaching experience with high-level women's programs, most recently coaching teams at NYAC and Long Island Lady Riders.  Wyant is also a former goalkeeper with the US women's national team.

Amy Marron serves as assistant coach, working closely with Coach Wyant.  Marron is currently an assistant coach with the St John's University women's soccer team, and a former international pro player.

Home games will be played at the Aviator Sports Complex soccer stadium, in Brooklyn, NY.  The team trains weekly in Brooklyn and/or Manhattan.    View our 2023 WPSL Schedule by clicking here.
